We expected an adventure trip and got a top quality cruise to the San Rafael glacier with several interesting stops on the way. The boat is very comfortable and the service outstanding. The food on offer is excellent and of highest quality, and the kitchen does their best to prepare extra meals if the menu offered is not suitable. Both... More

We spent 3 weeks in Patagonia and this cruise was supposed to be the highlight of the trip. Instead it became the lowlight. On the positive side the food and wine was excellent. The cabin was comfortable though dated. The waiters and cabin staff were all very friendly and helpful even although they didn't speak any English. We were doing... More

This trip was more than I expected, fantastic views and beautiful places, vessel is old but very well maintained, crew was fenomenal ! Special mention to Mohamed the barman, always smiling and ready to make you stay pleasant , also Juan Carlos the waitress, they were amazing. Bottom line, once in a life time experience that I highly recommend to... More

When I visited during the Chilean winter, I was disappointed that I couldn't take a cruise to Patagonia. Then I found that Skorpios offers a wintertime one-night cruise from Puerto Montt to the Quintupeu Fjord and back again. Two ships sail the same route at the same time each Saturday and Sunday--the older Skorpios II and the newer Skorpios III... More

We were on the 6-night cruise from Puerto Montt as part of a Road Scholar tour of Chile. This was the highlight of our trip. The ship is clean and comfortable. We booked a cabin on the deck with the dining room, thinking it would be quieter at night vs. the deck with the bars. This was fine except for... More

We booked a six night cruise from Puerto Montt to Puerto Natales taking the best cabin at very high cost. To start with the positives, the crew were very helpful, very willing and worked phenomenally hard. The cabin was very comfortable, spacious and the bathroom excellent. However we were below the bridge and there was a certain amount of noise... More

We travel in the Skorpios II Cruise from Puerto Montt to San Rafael Glaciar with my wife. We were celebrating our birthdays. The experience was really wonderful. We booked in the fourth level, room 410, very nice, enough space, it is not like a luxury hotel, it is fine and comfortable to be navigating. The service was good in the... More

As part of our OAT adventure we rode the boat to the face of the glacier. This is an excellent portico n of our travel experiences. For best viewing position yourself on the right side of the viewing Deckard the boat will travel most of the time with the right side closest to the glacier. If you want to touch... More

Just returned from a 15 day trip to Chile and the absolute highlight of the trip was a 5 day cruise from Puerto Montt to the San Rafael Glacier. The ship sailed through some of the most magnificent country you can imagine - the Chonos, Aysen and Northern Icefield archipelagos with stops at Puerto Aguirre, Castro Chiloe Island, Quitralco Hot... We recently took the 3 day cruise from Puerto Natales on this old (1996) but beautifully maintained ship to see at least a dozen glaciers. I was astounded at the size of our stateroom (compared to the cramped one on Viking). The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the more international flavor of the passengers. This is a...
