We had the chance to walk around the street for an hour or do and liked all the action all around. There were so many street vendors as well as street performers. We enjoyed wondering around for a little while.

Hanging off the southwest corner of Plaza de Armas and under another name (Puente) extending north up to the Rio Mapocho this pedestrian only street is a great place for people watching, shopping for trinkets, having a light meal or drink... but for me the prize is enjoying the buskers. Singers, ballroom dancers (stunningly sensual), sax players, folk dancers, whirling... More

One traditional pedestrian path in downtown Santiago. Always worth while a visit to get a feeling of the real Santiago. Bursting with activity all week and also during the weekends (with quite a different crowd).

Nice pedestrian street with a lot of stores, restaurants and nice buildings (stop and look at the beautiful red building "Cuerpo de Bomberos" along the way. My favorite, the crosswalk signal: a little green man walks faster and faster as the light prepares to changed! So funny!

If you brought cash and want to exchange to chilean pesos, there are several exchange stores with much better rates than in any other place (airport, for example).

This pedestrian street in downtown offers lots of different retails stores, weekdays will be very busy and weekends a bit more relaxed but several stores will be closed. Popular for locals.

Avoid after 5pm where all the workers come out of their jobs, its packed. But if you go for lunch time and shop around you will love it

I enjoy walking and this passage, created in the 1970's, is a great way to get from Armas to Constitucion plazas. People watching and loads of places to eat. I was told it's not a place for late night but you do get to see a lot of hard working Chilienos and some colorful characters during the day too!

Not a place for tourists, it´s one of the main commercial streets in Santiago. Although it is pedestrian, it´snot very nice with so many informal seller shouting to sell you anything in the street. Don´t go there by evening time, it doesn´t seem a safe place.
