Oasis in a big city

It's quite the clime, but once one top you have great views, nice nature and peace and quiet. We were there on a Wednesday and it wasn't super crowded.

A tiny little park and hill, at least compared to San Cristobal, but I liked it better. I loved the maze of passageways and stairways leading to the top, and the view from the top was less affected by the pollution than the top of the big hill. There seemed to be interesting places to go at every corner, and... More

A great way to get a view of the city. Requires good mobility to get up the stairs but it's an invigorating walk up rather than a hard slog to the top. It's near some great restaurants and bars in LaStarria ave as well so follow up with a vino or two at Bocanariz for an enjoyable afternoon.

Amazing that this is in the downtown area. A flea market across the street with no name is also excellent. This going up the hill takes a bit of effort and probably has a fitness level. I feel it can be done slowly and enjoyed. Beautiful sight of the city and it has a machine to put coin in to... More

We have taken the cable car,but you can track even bike if you dare (500 meters climb by road), but you can enjoy an almost 360 view from Santiago

A mini-hill in the centre - with lovely gardens, fountains and quirky steps by various routes to the top, offering good views of the immediate surroundings...

Cerro Santa Lucia is nice to be visited either on good weather or not. The athmosphere up there is kind of romantic and the panorama view is contributing on the feeling that you are somewhere up in the air.

As we climbed the hills, there was always something new to experience at different levels. When we finally reached the top, we were overlooking Santiago and the pictures taken were breathtaking.

Just loved our late afternoon walk in this park. So many lovely places to stop and the busker at the top was a real bonus. Nice view across the city. Don't miss this place!

This is a great spot- one of our favorites in Santiago. On a clear day, you can see the snow-capped Andes - even in December. The shade and fountains are a relief from the heat, and there is a nice market right across the street if you're looking for souvenirs.
