Some of it may be a little gaudy, but it's cool to see and a nice place to sit on a bench (or fountain steps) and relax on a warm day. Plenty of teenage kids use it as their hangout and there are lots of tourists. Great views of Santiago (and beyond on clear days). Don't neglect to visit the... More

Good way to lose weight, but views are impressive -a bit of peace in middle of busy city. Gardens can be interesting at right time of year. There is an elevator on one side as if hot it is a bit of a hike.

It is interesting to walk up and take some pictures of the city streets. There is a nice fountain at one of the entries. The elevator does not work all day, only parts of the day, so be prepared to walk all the way up if you go at the wrong time. There are also very few flowers here. If... More

The main steps of Serro Santa Lucia are gorgeous. Some of the other stairways are steep and small so be careful. Walk up the main steps to the very top, small terraced area, then down the other side to Castillo Hidalgo, then take the road back down to the main steps.

You can see a part of the city but it isnt so good as San Cristóbal Cerro. Bring your own water bottle and go ahead!

Bit of a climb to the top but well worth it. This park is free of entry charges and open til 7:30PM. Probably best enjoyed early AM or just before sunset during the warm months.

Climbed some steep steps to the top. But worth the view. Be careful not to overdo the climb on a hot day.

We visited Cerro Santa Lucia in the early afternoon and were surprised at how quiet it was. There are lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore. You cannot get in the fort, but can get to a viewpoint on top of it. There are small stalls for buying ice-creams or drinks. Lots of variety with water features, terraced gardens,... More

Few steps from a subway station (Santa Lucia), this cerro has a wonderful construction. The second level is even more beautiful, with a fountain and an observation point. Crossing the street, behind the fountain, you can find the soft climb to the fort. Prefer to visit it during the day and remember to have a bottle of water. It has... More
