We visited this area a couple of times and were even able to watch the changing of the guards which was fun.

Here you van go back on time to all eras , modern museum in the basement , la Moneda government palace , the change of guards lots to do but i recommend going at midday when the guard change occurs this make it more interesting...More

This is the first thing that caught our attention as we walked into the city. The plaza was actually closed due to a protest earlier that day, but still very unique and I loved the huge flags and statues all around.
