Surrounded by various museums (and not far from the Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos) the Parque Quinta Normal, is really a great urban open space for relaxing. Quite a contrast to the veryday hurly-burly of down town Santiago

Nice for a stroll. Lots of families and people. Head over for a relaxing afternoon. Has a railway museum with old trains that was interesting to see.

If you have a couple of hours - and just want to relax and wind down. "Quinta" certainly is an option on your list. A good Picnic Spot spot too. If you go there in November till February - watch out for that Chilean sun :)

It is a metro ride away. It has a lake but no particular flowers or shrubs. You could spend a pleasant 30 minutes or more wandering around. I was here to visit train museum and Human Rights museum, both close by. If you want Green, Santa Lucia is closer to centre.

You can stroll and watch the families with kids, and the lovers. Few features of interest in the park itself, except the museum within it. Watch out for the limited access in and out of the park; it is fenced in.

Quinta Normal is a must. Right in front of the Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos, it is usually ignored by tourists. Don't do that. It is a beautiful park, great for more than just walking outdoors: plenty of museums inside or around it, all of them worth a visit.

Next to Quinta Normal underground/metro station. There is a few museums. Museo de la Memoria y los Derechos Humanos ( Human right museum, it's realy good one, and free, just partly English, but worth to visit) and Museo Nacional de Historia Natural.

Not really much to see nor do here unless one is visiting the museum of natural history. There are play areas for the children and places to bring your picnics to.
