It was really interesting to see the port in its entirety from this view point. There are also some touristy vendors here with the exception of one local artist who does amazing watercolor paintings of valparaiso locations and scenes. We ended up purchasing 3 of...More

A charming viewpoint overlooking Valparaiso harbour, where canoodling lovers and hordes of tourists keep the stalls stocked with mainly Peruvian handicrafts alive ~ that's apart from Chilean lapis lazuli jewellery and painted glassware. It was my first glimpse of Valpo, which I came to love....More

It is a very nice atmosphere up here with a lovely view onto the harbor and the cable car(s). The little booths sell souvenir things and if it 's crowded, make sure to watch your handbag! But definitely worth a visit for sunset!

The view of the port is a good one, but the paseo itself is just lined with a bunch of people hawking souvenirs of mediocre quality. Don't fall into this tourist trap!

There is a nice view of the port and the Museo naval at the top (after going up with the funicular -ascensor artilleria), but that's about it. You can take some photos, buy a souvenir, the walk is very short though, but I didn't think...More

Went with the family whilst staying in nearby Santiago. Much bigger than I expected. Edgy, dirty and heavy stench of urine. Nonetheless, great views from over the port worth stopping for - aside from that, head for the local beaches (where's dogs defecate openly on...More

The view up here is simply beyond words to describe. The view of the harbour would be able to stun even the most experieced traveller. Take the Ascensor up and walk back down so you get to see the nicely painted streets as well. There...More
