Olga fisch folklore our mission is to introduce design, quality, color and flavour to our identity. Our purpose more than having a fair trade seal is of a profound social responsibility with more than a thousand ecuadorian artisans that work hand by hand with us and for us. Our duty is that an important percentage of our income be given to our artisans and be devoted to a constant improvement of the production of our local talents. Our goal is that our handicrafts reflect the amazing creative potential of ecuador. Our history makes us forerunners in the market. For 70 years we have been dedicated to our handicraft tradition, for 70 years we have been working in our mission, purpose and vision. It is now three generations of enthusiasts and creative people that besides supporting the artisans have developed and created new ways and means to show what ecuadorian crafts are all about.

This is a wonderful shop with a neat history, particularly of its eponymous owner. Don't miss the museum of her collections upstairs which are, in addition to being gorgeous, are also a fantastic way to learn some history.

I was told by a local friend that if we want to buy authentic, sustainable and best quality of local handicraft, paintings, etc then this is the place to go. We weren't disappointed. It's a huge store managed by smiling staff who speak good English and are very knowledgeable. There's something catering to everyone. From curios to paintings to books... More

We went to Olga Fisch on our last day in Quito and although I was all shopped out after almost 2 weeks in Ecuador, I managed to find some amazing items here. The range of items is incredible - from artwork, to clothing to giftware. The story of community involvement behind the store, makes it even better.

We found a street sign for this place while looking for somewhere else and were delighted. The crafts were of excellent quality and seemed reasonably priced, and the museum upstairs was a delight. Everything was well displayed and clearly labeled. The young woman who showed us around was helpful without being intrusive.

This is a delightful store with a huge array of beautiful handmade things - I circled around wide eyed at least three times to see everything! I ended up purchasing a bracelet and necklace made of bright red and black seeds from the Amazon (said to bring good luck) and an exquisite hand painted Jaguar figurine, among other things. The... I first came here in 1989 and was stunned by the quality and beauty of the goods. So in 2016 I was delighted to find that it was still terrific. The staff welcoming and friendly in what otherwise could be a museum.

Incredibly well curated selection of traditional and modern, traditionally-inspired goods, including clothing and accessories, home goods, and some art. Look upstairs to see 3 generations worth of amazingly well preserved authentic artifacts. This is no family collection - truly museum-quality assortment and curation.

It's a shop with some folklore pieces. Don't get me wrong, the pieces are very nice, but very expensive. My wife probably enjoyed it more but I was very underwhelmed. I wouldn't recommend unless you really want to pay some bucks for a few pieces.
