Just returned from the Colonial Haciendas ride. What an amazing trip! So well organised, every detail was covered. Poor Sally, I asked her a zillion questions before going but she patiently answered all my concerns. I had 2 half day lessons before beginning the ride which Sally organised and which I really recommend if like me you have been many... More

Not only was it my first riding holiday I hadn’t ridden in well over 10 years however I was really keen to get back into the saddle and I felt the best way to do that was long days riding on quality horses, I was only interested in companies that look after their horse's well and also which are responsible... I've just taken part in Ride Andes´ latest venture - which are the one and two day trips. These are a really good option if you don´t have much time and / or perhaps don´t have the budget for the more established 7 day trips, which began over ten years ago. The one day trip started early in central Quito,... More

Sally Vergette and her company are first rate. Her attention to detail, knowledge of the country, concern for the well being of the horses and the clients make for a can't miss fantastic experience. We have traveled with her company in Ecuador (twice), Chile (twice), & Uruguay, and each has been equally amazing. Don't miss a 2-3 day cloud forest... More

Hi just finished a week of riding with Ride Andes, and can definitely recommend it. It's a great way of seeing the country side and the horses are extremely well cared for . Staying at the Haciendas along the way is an experience in itself. It is a step back in time with today's modern conveniences. Riding around Cotapaxi with... More

There is nothing I can possibly write that can do justice to what was the trip of a lifetime around the Cotopaxi National Park near Quito in Ecuador. Sally (Ride Andes) is without doubt one of the most amazing people I have ever met. Her outstanding organizational skills only surpassed by her love and care for her horses. She had... More

I first rode with Sally Vergette owner of Ride Andes in Ecuador in 2001 and fell in love with South America. I have ridden with other operators in other parts of the world but Sally's attention to detail, the quality of her horses and her concern for safety of both riders and horses is unparalleled. I have done 2 of... More

The Horses where all well looked after, fit and responsive and totally right for the riding which was all I could have wanted. The Gauchos where friendly, fun and excellent guides. The riding was varied it felt like everyday was... More

I've ridden both of the Ride Andes tours in Ecuador (North Western part of South America)... and they are completely amazing. If you want to see and ride through wild, landscapes... moutains, volcanoes, grassy paramos, rural countryside on some fabulous horses then Ecuador needs adding to your wish list. There're two tours - one a bit more rustic and wild,... More

I joined Sally Vergette in Ecuador in 2007 September having not bothered with a holidays for a number of years previously. The help and organisation given was, in my opinion second to none, both on the ride but also for the extent of my stay being an extra 5 days in and around Quito. Sally obvious love of the country...
