This is a great tour if you are a biker

I did the Cotopaxi bike tour, which included mountain biking down the volcano. I'm not sure what I was thinking, because it was hard! The road is gravel, which makes it slippery... read more

We just did a tour with Arie today. Downhill mountain biking. Arie suggest to go to a different mountain, since we wanted to go to Cotopaxi. I can't really say how good Cotopaxi is, but this tour was sooo good! We had the best view on Cotopaxi, a down hill ride that was much longer than on Cotopaxi and the... More

Our ride and shuttle service today was customized to what the tours online outlined as we had already done one part. Arie was very open to this; very prompt if not early on pickup time; gave you enough information to send you on your way yet answered any question you may have be it about the trip our the local... Everyone has to earn a living, so I am not fond of negative reviews, but if you pick this company to do a downhill mountain bike trail (such as down Cotopaxi or Pichincha) I think you should carefully consider your other options. We went with Arie on the downhill adventure on Pichincha. Having done the Death Road in Bolivia on... More

Interesting how you compare a private tour in ecuador with a group tour in Bolivia. You had here a luxury 4 wheel drive toyota that cost her the double of the cost in Bolivia. A Kona bike in Bolivia is 3 times cheaper than here also in Bolivia you dont need car insurance while in Ecuador its 1500 a year.And... More

I did the Cotopaxi bike tour, which included mountain biking down the volcano. I'm not sure what I was thinking, because it was hard! The road is gravel, which makes it slippery. If you are an experienced biker, it might have been easy. My husband had no trouble, but my 13 year old daughter and I struggled. That wasn't Arie's... More

On our back from the Amazon, we stayed one night in a very comfortable cabin near the airport. Arie pick us up at the airport early evening. As we were hungry, he took us first at his excellent family restaurant which is run by his lovely wife and friendly son. Breakfast was very good. The next day, he took us... More

We booked Aries cabin because of the location. We had a flight to Lagio Agrio at 09:00 in the morning and wanted to be close to the airport. After booking I contacted Arie with the question if he could do a transfer to the airport and if he could give some advise on how to get to his cabin, and... More

We did the Cotopaxi tour with Arie. He was friendly but seemed a bit negative about Ecuador which was a bit off putting. However the main disappointment was definitely the tour itself. First of all the quality of the bikes was terrible and the road we were expected to ride down very slippery unstable gravel in high wind. I have... More

We stayed for 1 night at Arie's Cabin because we had an early flight the next morning. The cabin is located 15min from Quito Airport so we didn't have to take the usual 1+hour drive from the city. Location is very beautiful, the cabin was extreme comfortable, big, clean and nicely furnished. Arie is very friendly and helpful. The place... More

We arranged a 7 day bike trip and a one-day tour of Quito. My husband and I travelled with our 10-year old daughter. While I agree with other reviewers that the bikes are not top quality (yes, we had some mechanical problems too), we didn't let that dampen our great time and there was a spare bike that we did... Allow me to preclude the following review by saying firstly, my initial impression of Arie and his services was very promising. He was prompt with his responses and picked me up outside of Quito on the way to the ride. Secondly, I am an avid biker. I own four bikes, have rode on four continents and have had guides on...
