The forest is quite nice, but you need to be fit if you want to walk; otherwise you can take the car until you get to El Mirador where you can enjoy the view. The time I went there it started raining all of the sudden so take a rain coat for sure and an umbrella if possible.

A good system of trails for all levels of hiking, can explore nature trails near the entrance or long day climbing to the summit.

Pasochoa is one of the last remaining areas with the original inter-Andean mountain forest near Quito. It is definitely worth the effort but it will take about three hours to climb along good trails to the upper trail with spectacular views. Bring water and a snack, hitch a ride to the preserve from the main road, and mind the weather.... More

Pasochoa protected wood- park is a great place to visit if you like natural sites. Being very close to Quito (about 1 hour ride by car), this site homes several bird and native species. There are trails that can be followed depending on your time avilability and physical condition, but all of them are quite attractive. When you get there,... More

A good alternative for a day trip. It is 45 minutes from Quito by car, I suggest to start very early in the morning so you drive against heavy traffic. If you catch a bus, get to Amaguaña and then catch a taxi or a pick up, be sure to ask the taxi driver to come back in the afternoon... More

I have been there several times and have climbed each trekking paths, and it's really worth it ! The 5 hours one that reaches the top is the best one. A bit steep at some point but worth the spectacular views during climbing.

Pasochoa is a very nice mountain. If you want to go to its summit I would call someone as eqt.travel to take me, it is an easy non-technical mountain but you still can get lost if climate change. For those not looking forward to reach the summit, it has amazing well signalized trails and beautiful view spots with bbq facilities.

It's better to have a 4x4 to go there. There's 5 differents paths to hike. 5 differents lengths. 5 differents difficulties. Like I said, it's very relaxing and fresh with the trees shadows. I recommend.
