We have an apartment in Quito c5mins from La Carolina. When I am here, I run there in the mornings and walk the dog. It’s a great open space in central Quito, safe in daylight and a great way to people watch and see the...More

My wife and I strolled from one end to the other and took time for great photos at the manmade lake with the mountain peaks in the background. We enjoyed seeing the lively Ecuadorians taking advantage of the soccer field and numerous (large) children playgrounds.

I went to this park mainly to visit the Botanic Garden, which is lovely, well laid out and cheap to enter. After leaving there I visited the rest of the Parque La Carolina. Having read some reviews on here I am thinking that perhaps I...More

It is a very lovely and safe park to walk in at all times. Sundays are busy and it can be a lot of trash around and kids peeing everywhere but that is about education. Overall very nice place to work out and chill.

I was impressed not only by the size of Carolina, but the calming atmosphere with fresh air, plenty of trees, open spaces with families came with their kids and watched them play, just people watching, free wifi,. etc. An al around great time.

This place was a sneaky find in the thriving metropolis of Quito. A haven from the hustle and bustle. The price of admission is so tiny compared to the plethora of plants that are contained within. I particularly loved the orchids and the carnivorous plants...More

Our Airbnb condo was across the street from Parque La Carolina. The park is large, diverse, and well used. Biking and walking paths crisscross the park. We were on the 11th floor and I watched a steady stream of bikers and joggers early each morning....More
