Arequipa in general reminded me of Euroean cities. It was cleaner and more organized, than other Peruvian cities. The square was really impressive offering a good place to rest at some of the benches.

Worth the walk. Just get lost and feel the vibe. There are tons of nice places to visit and good food to try.

Arequipa is far more interesting than Lima and has a lot to see by just wandering around on foot. So many museums, churches, galleries, shops... it's all good to discover.

The historic centre is a great place full old colonial history. Not sure, but I think every street has some old building to offer. Some gems are in private hands or company, but most you can enter. I spent days rambling about and never tried.

This is really my kind of place. I really like to walk along old streets, admiring the architecture, stopping in a shop or having a drink. Mi linda Arequipa, te extrano.

Apart from the Santa Catalina convent, do not miss the Compaña jesuit church and plaza de las armas. Try and go by bus to Titicaca from there

Much nicer than the rest of the city, with the beautiful plaza de armas and other squares. It is also more calm as most of the streets are prohibited to cars. You will find there animation in the night, especially on Saturday. Jules, Belgium
