The building is so stunning I almost mistook it for the Monestario Santa Catalina. You can take a tour for S/10 plus tip for your guide and it really will be money well spent. The arcutecture is stunning, but what is even better are the stories, and histories that your guide can share. You will also get to visit the... More

Very interesting information about the city and the history of the cathedral, also ornaments that were used by priest many decades ago.

This is a very striking building with obvious presence on the outside. You must wear the correct clothing and not shorts so a quick visit back to the hotel for a change was needed. Inside was stunning with the pipe organ and the likes. What was really good was being able to go on the roof and see the views... More

We visited with our kids (ages 7 and 4) in January 2017 and found the tour interesting and the view from the bell tower was spectacular! Your must visit the museum with a guide and tours are offered in a variety of languages - we took the Spanish tour to avoid waiting for the start of the English tour so... More

It's worth visiting this judge cathedral. The only thing what was for my opinion not ok was that they charged 5 Soles extra for the guide, even it was said to pay the guide was voluntarily! I think, they only did it with foreigners. Guide is compulsory!

Well worth the 20 soles for a personable tour of the cathedral. The guide was fantastic, informative and had great humour. Highly recommend!!

When we arrived in Arequipa we discovered that the next day was foundation day and big celebrations were planned, we had the chance to have a brief look in the Cathedral of Arequipa Museum, it was absolutely amazing the architecture and construction of the buildings amazing.

Took a tour of the church. It's not a world famous site but I thought the tour guide was informative and the views from the bell tours were good.

I get it's big and reach, but the building is a poor copy of many european churches - they are proud of italian marble, french organs, and oak pulpit - I am not saying it is not pretty, it's just no different from what we can see at home. May be interesting for north and south americans, I assume.
