My husband & I joined the 5 day Mt Salkantay trek which included a tour of Machu Picchu at the end of the trek. Oliver our guide was fantastic giving us a cultural understand of the area including information on local plants & local history. He set a good pace on the trek which at time was strenuous as we... My partner and I did the Inca Trail with SAS Travel. We had an excellent experience. The guides Victor and Oliver were extremely knowledgeable, good humoured funny calm and patient throughout, especially with some members of the group who were sick from altitude or gastro. Nothing was a problem and they really made the trip memorable. I especially liked Victor's... More

We recently walked the Inca trail with SAS. It was a great experience thanks to the wonderful team of guides and porters that supported our group of nine. Both guides (Fredy and Aldo) were very knowledgeable and passionate about their country and culture, and pointed out many interesting things on the trek. They also provided good support on the more... More

We did the five day/four night Inca Trail package that included an overnight at Aguas Calientes, second day at MP and admission to Huaynapicchu. We would highly recommend this additional day to the classic IT four day trip because it allows you to relax after hiking for four days in sometimes difficult conditions, get a good night's rest in a... My friend and I trekked the inca trail and were throughly impressed with SAS Travel and the organization and enthusiasm our guides and porters expressed through out the whole trip. It made it easier and the trip more enjoyable as a whole. Huge thumbs up to our guides Elias and Davis who filled us with knowledge and history about the... More

We had a great time hiking the 4 day 3 night classic Inca trail with our marvelous guides Hilbert and Aldo. They kept the whole group happy and with Hilbert's motto of "take your time, hold your llamas" everyone made it over dead woman pass and to Machu Picchu. A few of us did get a bit of altitude sickness... More

Instead everyone basically went to bed and didn't get a good nights sleep as we were only told the pitfalls and perils of what might occur. At no point did anyone say "We can do this...We will get through this....You'll all be fine, hundreds of people do this a week" etc etc. So we all "Awoke" the next day feeling... More

I don't tend to review all that often but I was so taken with SAS that they thoroughly deserved it. My guide was Felipe who was a lot of fun. His English was good and he was very knowledgeable about the culture and nature. The whole tour was well organised and highly interesting. Would highly recommend this company.

I booked Salkantay 5D/4N trekking tour about a month in advance. Originally, I want to get on Classic Inca trail but it was sold out. It turned out to be a good thing. Salkantay trail is one of many alternative trails to Machu Picchu. This trail has less people so I don't feel crowded. For most of the trip, I... More

Everything was well arranged, we had 2 great guides Alexis & Luis with a lot of knowledge of the sites we passed along the trail.
