We were looking for something fun to do with a few extra days in Cusco and are so glad we picked this class! The instructor was wonderful, explained the history of the cuisine so well, and there were fun little surprises and tastings along the way! The food was delicious that we cooked and sampled, so come hungry!

We had a four hour cooking class with Jose as the instructor. We love cooking and we cook a lot. We did several cooking classes in: Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Japan and China. The cooking class of Marcelo Batata is graded in our view as the last one between all of them. It was interesting learning about the history and concepts... More

Amazing experience. This was far more than just a cooking lesson. This was all about feeling the Peruvian life and learning more about the people, their culture, their cooking and lives. Well worth it.

Our family did the cooking class while we were in Cusco. We had a wonderful time! We learned so much about the varieties of fruit, grains, vegetables and spices in Peru. We made delicious ceviche and lomo saltado under the careful guidance of Elvira. She was informative and funny. We also made Pisco sours and Chilcano, which we all enjoyed.... More

We just did this cooking class while in Cusco and the dishes we made were delicious. We had a different instructor than it looks like most of the reviewers had, but she was nice and made the class fun. The only thing that was a little weird for us was that during the fruit tastings they had us pass one... More

Jose was our instructor and he was passionate about the foods in Peru. In this class you will taste a variety of fruits and appetizers. But you will learn how to make ceviche, pisco sours and lomo saltado for a main course. We learned a lot and Jose made sure the five of us in the class were enjoying ourselves.

We enjoyed our class especially since they took the time explain how Peruvian cooking has evolved ov many years, what ingredients are native to Peru, and how the fusion of many different flavors produces new and unique tastes. We were taught about the different international cultural foods which influenced the local cuisines and why Peru has many of the top... More

We booked for a cooking class with Jose Luis who brought us through doing Cerviche a Peruvian favourite with raw fish and an alpaca stir fry Chifa Peruvian- Chinese style. Of course doses of Pisco and Pisco based cocktails. It was great 3 hour session and we ate what we cooked. Strongly recommended but it costs USD 90. It is... More
