I have never visited anywhere so rich in history before. It was so beautiful and after learning more about it I appreciated it more. I would definitely recommend a tour guide to show you the sites of Cusco.

I really do love being in the plaza but we found by the end of our four days there, we were avoiding it because of the prime trying to sell art, massages and tours. It's just too much. Every 5 feet.

Buy a pack of roasted corn, sit on a bench in the Plaza de Armas, and just watch the Cusco-an families (and tourists) go about their daily lives... and disappear from reality.

The buildings that surround the plaza add to the ambience of the plaza, populated with tourists from all over the world. Money changers are aplenty and cuisine from guinea pig to falafels make it distorted choose. Locals will approach you for a photo with you if you look exotic. Just ignore the peddlers and you should be fine. The locals... More

Loved the whiole area around the Plaza. The Gold fountain and the Incan trinity of the Snake, Puma and the Condor interested me a lot. The area was facinating, old, and the shopping and markets, especially San Pedro market nearby was really Great.

The square is quite large and of course the main attraction is the Cathedral. But dotted around are a variety of shops that will keep you entertained for quite some time. There are numerous restaurants and the square is the gateway to a myriad of other cobbled streets that offer adventure and exploration. I had school kids approach me and... More

Absolutely, do not miss the opportunity to see this beautiful square when you visit Cusco. If you want to check out some lovely alpaca sweaters, scarves, etc., and some very nice jewelry, stop in at INKA TREASURE. For wonderful meals, visit Limo and Inka Grill. If you would like to sit and relax with a glass of wine while watching... More

Square in the middle of town. Really pretty. Great place to people watch. Local events occur here. There is a Starbucks and McDonald's here. I only mention in case you are in need of free wifi or a bathroom!
