Need a guide or rent the headset to understand all the background stories of the old Inca temple converted to Catholic church. The artwork also has some interesting stories and the building has been rebuilt or repaired after numerous earthquakes. No pictures can taken but...More

This stop was part of a city tour in our Gate1 package. The cathedral, while a remnant of days gone by, is still an integral part of Cusco's daily life. Historically, the church is a product of many years of construction, using local resources that...More

I had the chance to visit this cathedral to find out that it is not well maintained since apparently it is still a work in progress. The main entrance gates are not well restored either. However, the paintings inside are worth the visit.

The cathedral of Cusco costs more than the others in Latin America... but it's worth to visit it if you're interested in the catholic arts and history!

This cathedral would be interesting to many people not only because of the church itself, but of the history preserved there. I really enjoyed seeing the painting of the "last supper" with guinea pig on the table.

The Cathedral is filled with art from the Cusco school with its combination of Peruvian and traditional Christian elements. Near one of the doors in an ancient Inca stone that is a place where shamans come to feel its energy - not well known or...More

A fine place to visit, now arts and crafts are sold inside, buying a purse for coins was fun here. Friendly artists and folks in and out of this facility. Very popular and old pictures inside took you back hundreds of years.

No need to book in advance. You should be able to get in during the day unless there is a reason that the church is closed.
