I did two tours with Haku: a tour of the city center with Johnny and the Lima Colors and Flavors tour with Johnny and Nathaly. Both tours were excellent. These guides really know their stuff and they are fun to be with. Haku also donates a portion of the proceeds to local community projects—an extra plus. The Colors and Flavors... More

Jimmy Giraldo was our incredible tour guide for the full day comprised of the Pachemac ruins in the a.m. and the City of Kings and Queens in the afternoon. We had gotten dropped off by the cruise ship shuttle at the wrong place but Haku Tours resolved the matter in just a few minutes. Jimmy was totally knowledgeable about the... More

Jhonny my tour guide was very knowledgeable, personable and his English was brilliant which was great as I speak zero Spanish! I learnt so much about the religious history, inca history and architecture of Lima. He also recommended local food to try. He also treated me to fresh local churros which I have say were better than the ones I... More

The City of Kings & Queens Tour was a walking tour and an excellent way to explore the area. The guides were great and very knowledgeable.

We did the Lima Culture Tour as a shore excursion with Haku Tours. I posted it on Cruise Critic so we had 9 people on this tour. The Lima Culture tour consists of a walking tour of the historical center of Lima, lunch and the Larco museum. The guide for this tour was excellent and he explained the history from... More

We went on two last minute tours with this group. Can't say enough good things about them. We booked the night before (like 8:00pm) for a next morning and afternoon tour. Everything went very smooth. The tour guides spoke very good English. The tour company is giving back to the local shantytown which is nice to see. Don't eat anything... More

This tour is an awesome way to see a side of Lima few tourists ever get to experience! Our guide JeanPaul was super knowledgeable and led us on an informative and indeed colourful tour of Chorillos and Barranco. The Chorillos part of the tour was the most interesting as we got to see how real limeños live and tasted several... More

This is the second time we have scheduled a tour with Haku Tours in Lima, Peru. We spent a very interesting afternoon with Patricia and Chef David. The first stop was the local market where we purchased the food we were later going to cook and were introduced to many varieties of fruit and vegetables, especially potatoes. We then went... More

we had a wonderful afternoon. It started with a visit to a local market, there buying the ingredients for the cooking workshop. Then we had a impressive and informative cooking class in a lovely outdoor kitchen, performed by two competemt and enthusiastic guys. And last but not least, it tasted muy bien.

My husband and I ended our 12 day tour of Peru and Bolivia with 3 days in Lima. When we learned that Haku tours is a nonprofit organization that invests its profits into Lima's shantytown, we were very intrigued. And then with the excellent TripAdvisor reviews of Haku Tours, we were sold! We opted for two tours with them: the... More
