Canadians are not used to hot days in February, and in a two day trip to Lima, we were drawn there twice.

I used to spend hours in a day to enjoy the view and walk by the beautiful ocean. Sitting by the ridge and meditating is the best thing to do there for me! :)

What do you want? It is only another road with some scenic views. OK to walk for exercise but that is it.

The view is great though. But it is more a motorway to get you fast from point A to B. Walk down from the Malecon instead :)

One of the best roads in Lima, nevertheless they have not managed to avoid the narrowing of it in certain spots creating traffic jams. Another dark point is the exit sections which in some cases are terrible.

This is a nice drive from Chorrillos to Miraflores. Great restaurants to eat at. I would recommend Rustica for $20 all you can eat lunch buffet drinks not included for an extra $5 a pitcher of Passionfruit (Maracuya) drink or purple corn drink Chicha Morada. Night buffet only on weekends.

The Costa Verde is in the process of being developed, with large areas fenced off while parks and attractions are built. The Pacific roars in impressively, and there were surfers there every time we passed - great fun to watch their different abilities in the roaring waves. There were also microlighters taking off from the cliffs, so lots to watch.... More
