Very important site historically. Very good museum with lots of fabulous pieces on display. Photos allowed without flash... but don't touch the glass! It's 3 miles (5kms) to walk the entire route on good paths which are dusty. Not the most spectacular ruins I've seen,...More

We visited Pachacamac before visiting Machu Picchu. The museum features artifacts from multiple periods and is a great foundation for understanding the various civilizations that make up the history of Peru. The site provides a great example of architecture and design of the period. It...More

This is a huge complex with an excellent museum staffed by knowledgeable pepole. Take water with you, hats and comfortable shoes as it gets quite hot and you do a fair bit of walking, but it is worth it.

We took the bus to tour this site. There is quite a lot of walking and the big panels of information in both Spanish and English are excellent. There were burial sites, seashells to symbolize eternity. There was an ancient Main Street dividing the city

Very nice historical site, about 30 or 40 minutes out of the city. The museum is nice and very interesting Be prepared to walk, if it is a sunny day it gets pretty hot during the middle of the day.

I took an uber to and from Pachacamac. It was about s/60 from Miraflores. I also got my guide when I arrived, there were several waiting for groups. I think we paid s/25 for a guided tour for 4, which was very reasonable.

I would recommend hiring a tour guide who can provide transportation and a narrative so you know what you're seeing. It's not expensive and definitely worth it.
