if you are staying in the area of Miraflores (which is highly recommended!), the Indian Market (Mercados Incas) is the perfect place to buy souvenirs and gifts. The selection is huge, prices are normally lower than in the old town, and you can bargain!

very big! great place for souvenir shopping (i.e. shirts, magnets, postcards, etc) and it is outdoors no food stalls or shops selling peruvian sweets the people don't hassle you to buy so that's really good - you can finally shop in peace

Yes, it opens about 10 am everyday and they start closing at 7pm
