We had a tour guide that showed us around the ruins and we learnt so much. I still reference that information and experience today. It was so much fun and the altitude wasn't too bad! Defiantly a bucket list trip!

I highly advice you to not take the bus, but instead go by foot, because it's not only for free, but you can at least tell yourself that you've achieved something (not how the lame people who go by train and bus ;)) The ruins...More

A must for any bucket list. The only bad thing was the weather due to heavy rains the night before and up until opening at 6am. Well worth the money spent to get to Machu Picchu from Canada. Standing looking down at the ruins you...More

This is one of the most beautiful places on this Earth without any doubt, you won't be disappointed. Too bad for the way it's managed though. They told us that we didn't have time to go to Huayna Pichu and then walk to the moon...More

You should try & do Rainbow Mountains when you are in Cusco, I am really sorry I didn't make it there as I ran out of time, and so cheap to do if the hostel you stay at arranges it, some people preferred it to Machu Pichu
