Young uruguayan design and original art&crafts. The best shop in Montevideo to buy your gifts. Also you can have lunch, drink coffee with a delicious cake while you enjoy a book. You must visit the second floor and come by our art gallery and boutique, where you will find trendy fashion garments and accesories.

A little off the beaten path but well-worth finding, La Pasionaria is a cute, peaceful, and well-decorated building with a restaurant and boutique. They have created a lovely atmosphere and curated a nice collection of artisan wares and clothing. Try their delicious water flavored with orange, mint, and fresh ginger.

Is good option. But really overpriced now is a place with artesanies. Books and variety. Good food but really expensive for the place.

We had a fine vegetarian lunch, soup, pasta and a delicious creme brûlée. The restaurant is charming, the service perfect.

It was so good, I returned twice. Outstanding fish and soups. Hidden one block behind the Teatro Solis. Charming French style decor. Best of all, they have an art gallery type boutique with unique gifts to bring home. I bought a spectacular Merino wool blanket. Amazing quality.

Bought some Malabrigo yarn and tried on some beautiful jackets by a local designer. The ladies that are in charge of La Pasionaria were very nice and welcoming. This recycled property is amazing and worth a visit both to see the house and to buy some of the local art and crafts they sell.

While searching for a restaurant near Teatro Solis where we could have lunch before the Met opera presentation, we discovered La Pasionaria, less than a block away. The restaurant also features art and books for sale in spaces where sunlight creeps in from above. The atmosphere is wonderful. Our enthusiastic waiter, who also appears to be one of the owners,... Just a block away from Plaza Independencia and Teatro Solis, in Reconquista St. my wife stumbled on this little hidden jewel and came home raving about it, so we had to go back. It offers a creative veggan restaurant and an extensive stock of Uruguayan made (with Uruguayan materials) art and craft pieces. The Merino wool clothing collection was what... More

We arrived just at closing having lost track of time at lunch. They stayed open just for us and were so careful in wrapping our purchases. I bought a piece of Uruguayan folk art that will always remind of the wonderful Uruguayan spirit! We did not eat at the cafe however it looked delightful.

Stopped by La Pasionaria to check out some local hand made crafts, a short walk from the Raddison. The selection was very good, the assistance was outstanding, very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and very much appreciated. Took a few minutes to relax for coffee. Should not miss this place
