A fantastic view of Montevideo is the biggest highlight of this local. If you like military history, then it may be worth the price of admission to go on in. Otherwise, it isn't very well maintained and really needs a good cleaning.

The only hill in the area, with a very nice view of Montevideo bay. The neighbourghood to reach that spot is not the best one, so much better take a taxi ride, a void getting lost!

The Fortaleza is a great place to visit lots of history for the Uruguaians and the visitors too you can guns, uniforms a jail house and has a excellent view of the rio de la plata and the city too.

It is located on the only hill that Montevideo has. They say that Montevideo is the name because a Portuguese sailor saw a hill and said: MONTE VI DE EU. That means I see a hill. It a tourist attraction.

Not really easy to get there by yourself, but there are several tours including the Cerro in their route. It's a great view of the city from there is a piece oh historical site.
