Constructed in 1819 or 1821 this mosque is not only beautiful, but also has it´s story during the recent history of Albania. Apparently the mosque was closed during Albanians commusist regime. On January 18, 1991, despite opposition from communist authorities, 10,000 people entered carrying flags....More

Small mosque. Othmanian Decoration. I do Friday pray there it was crowded and a lot of Muslim do pray Jomaa. Alhamd Llah for Islam.

Don't miss this small, but beautiful, mosque with its floral artwork on the domed ceiling and walls. Be sure to notice the buildings in the art. The attendants here are very friendly, too.

Nice Mosque by Skanderbeg Square. A main site of Tirana. Did not enter but worth a visit. Situated with most of the other sites of the city.

In the most important part of the city there is the oldest mosque in Tirana. I don t know if you can visit inside if you are not muslim. Outside there is a restaurant.

This mosque is right in the center of Tirana so you can't miss it. It's quite small so a visit should take no more than roughly 10 minutes if you don't go in for prayers. You're free to walk around and gaze at the beautifully...More
