Our guide brought us here to see the Olympic skiing site . We could not ski as it was not open for the season yet. However he brought us to a small mosque which was built by the Muslims during the war. It was indeed a surprise to see a small but nice wooden mosque at the top of the... More

My companion and I thought we were going to see the bobsleigh track but that turns out to be on the other side of Sarajevo. We still had a very nice time here and a nice man showed us around the place including the old ice rink track which they apparently still use in the winter and somewhere there were... More

It is a disappointment to see the shape that some of the Olympic sites are in. The arena had been rebuilt after the siege. It was great to be able to walk and stand in what would be the ice rink. The Olympic Stadium is used by the local soccer team. We were able to walk the track. Bobsledding run... More

Apparently few people go there and when we went, the guy had to turn on all the lights and start the video. I don't know why it isn't an attraction on every tour! It is amazing that the Director was able to secretly hide all of those artifacts from being destroyed in the war. It really took me back -... More

It will bring you back to history especially if you know it was the first Winter Olympics held in a Communist state. so i can say that is worth it.

As seen in pictures, we were hoping for a massive sports center that had been through a siege and a war, but the stadium has been rebuilt, and you cannot enter the arenas. The exhibition is very interesting though, and well worth the visit even for someone who is not interested in sports (as me). Walk there, and try to... More

The 1984 Olympics represents a Golden Age for most Bosnians. This was when they were at their greatest. Hosting the '84 Olympics games proved that they were a central part of the world stage, and was even more important because of how many times they hadn't been in crisis and managed to rise above. There isn't an incredible amount to... More

Unfortunately there is not much to see in the Olympic centre. Only one room with items reminding the Olympic games and DVD can be played on demand. I was the only visitor then and the stuff seemed a bit surprised at my request to see the "museum". The facility, that is to my knowledge also the HQ of BiH Olympic... More
