It's definitely worth taking a stroll through the market. Sellers are friendly - which is not always the case in Bulgaria - and the stalls specialise in local art; a lot of which is not great to be honest. I have to admit to being a little disturbed by the amount of Nazi memorabilia on sale and for that reason... More

Stumbled upon this little time capsule and was fascinated, in amongst the reproduction stuff was original Russian silver, ex-service paraphernalia (most of it not allowed on planes!) But really interesting relics of a byegone era. Worth finding!

The Antique Flea Market is located near the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and is rather aimed at the tourists visiting the cathedral...There can be found lots of antique goods as old cameras, coins and medals, hand knitted socks, Russian lacquered dolls, jewelry boxes and more. The prices vary but I'd say haggling is essential here!

Close to the Nevski church you will find this small flea market. Stalls selling lots of old 'tatt' and dome good stuff to from icons to badges and old soviet militaria If your on the way to the cathedral on foot then you'll probably pass by anyway. I managed to but a couple of things.

This market is small but I liked that about it. The sellers generally speak English well and are willing to bargain. It is a great spot to pick up some vintage silver jewellery (much cheaper than the airport). Beware that some places are not selling authentic WW2 and Berlin Olympics products though.

This could be the Mekka of all the handy women and men that makes goods that could be sold to visitors and others. This big open space should invite for much more than a few stands with people selling a pair of socks and some lace table cloth. But what they sell is impressive, it is handicraft of first class.... Small and indifferent flea market. Communist era items, but almost nothing is worth buying. Definitely, you’ll find similar and better flea markets elsewhere in Europe.

Very small flea market with few booths and not much of a variety. It's a nice quick stop if you're into some old memorabilia, mostly communist era. There are bigger and more interesting flea markets in other places on the world.

This is a tiny flea market that offers very little knick-knacks and some so-called paintings. The market had very few visitors while we were there and after a couple of minutes we turned back and left, as it was looking very poor. Feel free to avoid this place.

Market in the center of Sofia. You can find coins, icons, watches, cameras, paintings, emblems, military staff from the second world war (nazi items). Some of theme are collectible. Take a look!
