I would highly recommend spending an hour here. There are 4 floors of interesting exhibits. A quiet and peaceful break from the hustle and bustle outside

I'm not a big fan of taxidermy but there is a certain charm about this museum. Be warned if you are taking kids that this is not interactive in any way but really old school. Doesn't matter of you hate all of that. It is...More

Extensive collections of allsorts, but the displays don't look as they've been touched for quite some time. Some of the taxidermy jobs aren't top notch but as a whole an interesting place with lots to see.

We went there with a lot of hopes but we couldn't read almost any word! You can't learn anything. You can only see a lot of animals. Ps:no air-conditioned.

Unfortunately, it is a little boring. There is a lot of flats with different kind of history stuff. But I think it's funnier for kids and younger people. :)

Go there, don't be put off by the unassuming entrance with its quirky shops (do look for the huge dinosaur in the one on the lhs) and read nothing into the ludicrously low price (4 lev for adults). It's a gem. I agree with the...More

One of the best museums in Europe. The museum's collections are very extensive and date back to the Bulgarian monarchy. A perfect visit would be at night (only possible during European Night of the Museums) as the museum has a very peculiar ambiance!

This is not a "must visit" attraction, but it is very interesting albeit most of the displays are looking a bit unloved. The exhibit on ammonites is very interesting (if you like that sort of thing). Entry fee only 4 lev.
