I loved this place and especially the park right in front of it. A few notes: - the theater is closed over the summer due to vacations - all performances are in Bulgarian (you might not understand much) - there is a popular children's playground - the park is famous for its professional jazz players - the music is a... I haven't been inside but this building looks great outside. I've been told it was rebuild after a big fire. The park in front is wonderful. There are few cafes but if you need to use a toilet go to the hotel nearby.

Very impressive! The Theater has an amazing architecture and its facade is stunning! It reminded me of Greek Architecture. The square, which is in front of the Theater, is ideal for a walk. Worth a visit.. ✿

I could spend a whole afternoon in this park and in front of this theatre. It's really lovely. Be sure to read up on Ivan Vazovs history because it's quite interesting

The Ivan Vazov National Theater and its park is a nice place to visit. Besides its beauty and uplight colors in the evening it is a place to relax for the young of Sofia. Loads of activity on the stairs of the theater all evening.

The theatre is a splendid building which I confess I have been inside. The front has a lovely park with a fountain area and plenty of bar come cafés, to site and chill.

This is awesome place. It's really nice theater, although it's a bit tight on the balcony seats, but it is still really nice. There very pleasant park near the theater which is also great to spend time with friends or just to enjoy the good weather.

Beautiful building with immense importance for culture of the city. Great park is just opposite of the main entrance. No tour is avaliable though, which is a shame since I'm wondering whether the interior is as beautiful as the exterior.
