Nice square

Quite nice bohemian-like square, near the city centre. Home of some stalls with numerous books. Nice place to relax since there are a couple of good places for taking a drink.

There were a lot of different books - new and used - here but they were all in Bulgarian. To be fair there were some second hand English books but they were not great reads but then this is not an English speaking country so this seems fair. We went at about 10:30am and it was really 11am before they... More

Beautiful plaza but try to see it in the morning because it is very crowded if you come later - it becomes a book market. A few more coffee shops would be better. There is McDonalds which opens at 7.30.

Square with lots of bookseller stalls that have been there for ever. The square itself is not much and now it's surrounded by fast food establishments, there are a lot of nicer ones in Sofia. But if you like books (especially old, used books - and most are in Bulgarian) - it's a good place to browse.

This square will always remind me of my childhood, when i used to go with my parents. There are book stores there and i always use the opportunity to look for books.

On this square you will find the statue of the Slaveikovs - father and son poet. It is a good area for relaxing and hanging out as there are several places to eat and sit nearby.

This is a nice restaurant, am sure everybody knows it as it is on a corner near the square, and the address is Diakon Ignatii 21, but the glass windows and door are facing the square and a lot of people came and went. This is the second time I am visiting it and this time was all alone, wondering... More

The site is in short proximity from the statue of St. Sofia. A lively place to walk and buy any kind of book you wish. The book stalls are full of books, which are affordable, both new and old. The place around is full of restaurants and shops, but in all it is the right spot for book lovers! The... More

In the heart of the city, it has several stalls selling new and second hand books and magazines, alongside Chinese junk toys. It also hosts the city library and a good children's theatre.
