I spent an hour on the exposition of the glass, which was fantastic, and would definitely come back to explore the rest of the collection. The exhibits are nicely presented with lots of light and open space around. There are not so many visitors in this museum, which is a great plus.

Mimara has a fine and diverse collection. Make sure to read the history of the museum and the story of Ante Topić Mimara, the man who gave life to it. The building itself is also from the late 19th century and well maintained. It was a memorable visit for us, a highlight of our Zagreb experience. If you're into art... More

Looks imposing from the outside but very user friendly once you go up the stairs or the ramp. And you can access the commentary on your smart phone. Wish there was more on the provenance of some of the collection and how it fared under the Tito regime. Across the street from the Westin or right at a stop on... More

The Mimara Museum is a museum with a reasonably good collection of paintings and artefacts spread across three floors. Tickets are 40 HRK per person and timings are 10am to 5pm. Not really a must on your Zagreb itinerary but interesting nonetheless

We really didn;t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. There is quite a variety of art so it would appeal to many. Entrance fee wasnt too much. I would allow 1-2 hours depending on how fast you move.

Sadly this place left me with great disappointment. According the tourst informations I found on the internet I was expecting great paintings and sculptures. But in fact this museum desperately needs a great renovation. Several paintings were missing, and you could see the black dust frame on the wall age created by lack of upgrades. It was such a sad... The staff couldn't have been kinder....the lady at the ticket area insisted we take an electronic table with us and while I was hesistant...it turned out to be great advice.....it provided incite into some of the most important pieces on display that we...
