Small but Warm!

Stopped in to have a look around and to thaw out! Museum quite small but a few interesting exhibits make it worth a visit.

The permanent exhibition here goes back in time from the present to basically the start of human existence, although a vast majority of the exhibit is dedicated to the communist regime and the last 3 centuries. As someone who went to Romania knowing very little about their history it was very informative. It gave just the right amount of information,... More

Lots about the history of Bucharest, especially in the last century. The development of The Palace of the Parliament, it's construction and history of Roumania in general. Plenty of very interesting photos. Very reasonable admission prices but another place that charges a ridiculously high fee for taking photos.

This museum is located in Sutu Palace which is right by the University and Old Town. However it is overlooked by many judging by the limited number of reviews. It is well worth a visit as it shows the development of Bucharest over the centuries but with many double sided blocks with photos of buildings in e.g. 1900 and 2015... More

The building of the museum is very nicely renovated, it is a wonderful little palace. If you want to learn something about the Romanian history, this is a right place.

The building in which the museum is located is beautiful ,but the museum is really, really small and cramped. Some items dont even have descriptions, or have pages of description. Only for the history fanatics.

It was very interesting to see many historical objects about Romanian history. It's in the center and very easy to get there.
