Nice church

Nice church, although the setting amidst former communistic living blocks is less attractive. Lots to see inside.

We sadly did not get to see the beauty of this church as it was under renovation and surrounded by scaffolding. We could just make out the beautiful domes but the rest of the building was hidden. Whilst we were there a service was happening and church goers were inside and out praying. Maybe when renovated worth a look but... More

A tiny and verry attractive monument to-be-visited in Bucharest. It`s called "The student`s church", because of many students pray inside before exams...

This little Russian Orthodox church is almost hidden by the bigger structures around it. Don't be put off by the scaffold around it. The gleaming domes are striking and inside the opulent decoration is breath taking. The staff are very welcoming and we were encouraged to stay during a baptism. Well worth a visit.

YOu can't see it from far away, there are buildings around it. This Russian ortodox Cathedral was recently renovated, it is a little different from the other ortodox churches in the city.

One of a few (IMHO) Russian Orthodox churches in Bucharest. It was hard to find being tucked into a corner between the Soviet-style apartment buildings. The church has district shiny yellow cupolas, but most of them were covered for renovation. Many people had gathered in the small church, given the approaching Orthodox Easter.

It's undergoing some refurbishment as of April 2016, but you can still see the beautiful domes and walk inside, which I would recommend doing. The art inside is a little different than other churches in the area with some art deco influence as well as Byzantine.
