Lots to see, plenty of attractions and places to eat and drink. Recommend a walking tour to get oriented to the area (the Free Walking Tours are excellent). You will find excellent night life as well if that is your desire.

Nice for bars and night scene. Restaurants not so much (a little touristy). It's the heart of night life with some nice shops as well. It's definitely on to do list in Bucharest, but not as amazing in other European main cities.

I was very disappointed after I saw the center of Bucharest. Many houses are empty and damaged, only a few shops are left. After I saw the well maintained center of Cluj, I honestly expected more.
