This is a surprisingly good museum and we were pleasantly surprised. The museum is located in the previous Royal palace. A ticket to the European artists exhibition is apx. 4 USD (only 2 USD for seniors). The exhibition includes apx. two dozens galleries over several...More

the ticket price very low..I only go for the Greco paint and I really enjoy it. I didn't like the museum gallery the only souvenir you can buy was books in Romanian and a very poor collection of carts

Some nice painting but many of them are in real need of restoration. I was particularly saddened by how dark one of the huge Rembrandt paintings was. Other paintings have a lot of flaking. Housed in the 19th Century Royal Palace. Building itself is beautiful...More

This is a large museum with extensive collection of Romanian Artists and others. If you are short on time, focus on local art (the rest can be seen in other places). One has to devote a few hours to get the best of this place.

The best part of this museum is the exterior of the building. The art collection itself is very bland. I was particularly interested in seeing the Romanian part. However, it was completely derivative. You could find just about every major European style in the Romanian...More

This beautiful building is home to the National Museum of Art in Bucharest. On the lawn around the building are sculptures done by local artists. In my opinion, the building itself is a work of art.
