Visited Mecavnik during Kustendorf film festival with a friend from the States, we enjoyed every moment of it. The little wooden village on the top of a snowy mountain is the perfect setting for the festival. We tried some of the best traditional serbian food up there.

Worth the trip. Drvengrad itself is beautiful, but if you're lucky to come when the Kustendorf film and music festival is running, then you are for a real treat! Many interesting movies, chance to see a large number of celebrities in a laid back atmosphere, magnificent food for free if you buy the ticket for the festival (or if you're... More

Kustendorf/Drvengrad is Kusturica's perfect city. Just walking along its "streets", seeing the names of those great men is enough to make one feel good. But you also eat very well at more than a reasonable price. 1 day was just not enough. I definitely dream passing a week in that dream city!

We visited this village for the first time in July while staying in Zlatibor. We spent one whole day there, walking old paths of the Drvengrad/Kustendorf village, speaking with visitors and with people working there. It is very nice location and the village is so well organized that you wish to stay there for ever! We also enjoyed local food... More

We came here as part of a tour and the weather was a bit cold so that perhaps coloured my view of this place. I found it extremely odd and as I did not know the background to its construction it was a little disconcerting. The room was comfortable, warm and the decor unusual - no complaints. We had a... In july-august we went by car to visit Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and back again, by Austria and Germany, (2 adults and 2 teenagers) preparing everything at the last moment with Tripadvisor. Great filmset/village to visit and a the restaurant we had an excellent meal!

I like films of Kusturica very much, so I decided to visit his village Mehavnik (Kustendorf). We with my wife booked a room there for one night. We lived in a house with wooden roof, good room in attic. On the next day after arrival we took good breakfast and went to a pool, very nice view from it to... More
