The Belgrade Good Hope garden is a zoo located in Belgrade, Serbia. The zoo is situated at the very centre of the city, in Kalemegdan Park. Beo zoo vrt was founded in 1936 and is one of the oldest zoos in Europe. The zoo covers an area of about 7 hectares and has about 1,700 animals representing more than 150... More

This is what Belgrade Zoo used to be called, back in the day. And it still proudly has that name. It is a small Zoo, comparing to other European cities, but it has come a long way in becoming one of the most popular attractions with locals, both young and old. Sami, once beloved Zoo's chimpanzee is honored with a... More

A nice and sizable zoo. Many different animals to see including hippos, elephant, tigers, lions, otters, monkeys and bison. However some of the enclosures are poorly designed and animals are suffering from boredom and being fed by guests which is not healthy for them and potentially dangerous. However, it does seem that new exhibits were under construction. Only one bathroom... More

Comparing to the zoo's we have back in home in the UAE, this is definitely very well maintained and organized zoo. It's a walk around zoo, safe and friendly for kids. I wish I had my kids with me, though my wife and I still enjoyed and brought the kid out of us. The animals are active and put on... More

The zoo has a lot of visitors. The animals are not kept correctly and there is very little space available for them. Do not go there!

This is a weird place, it smells a lot more than other zoos. You can't get away from it. It has some interesting animals. Definitely worth a visit if you have small kids. Kids older than 7 may be bored.

Belgrade zoo is a little bit small compared to others in other countries and quite old. Still has a respectable variety of animals and is worth the visit also considering the low cost of entry (about 3 euros).

This Zoo has really nice collection of animals and I used to go since my early childhood. I still want to go from time to time, but somehow after each visit I feel sad. I know these animals there must live in captivity, but the conditions are getting worse and worse over the years. I hope that every visit supports... More
