Close to Belgrade (20km), this spot is very popular by locals. It's a symbol of the city. On sunny day you can see all area and the city. Do not visit on cloudy or foggy day, because you wont see anything. After visiting tower you shuold stop for a lunch at restaurant Kukumbra, just 2km after you come down to... More

This Avala Tower is a 204.5 m tall telecommunication tower located on Avala mountain (511 mtr high) in the periphery of Belgrade. The original tower was finished in 1965, but was destroyed by the NATO bombardment of Serbia on 29 April 1999. It is rebuilt with EU money. It is now a Monument dedicated to the Russian war veterans (amongst... More

Avala tower is a must see during summer or hot days... we went in autumn and it was freezing that day but the view from above make our trip worth it. During autumn season there is no transportation so you need to walk 4 km to arrive to the tower. healthy walk, beautiful nature and a good cup of tea... More

A lovely walk through woods... short and quite steep or longer and and less challenging take you to the top of the "mountain"... actually a big hill... where you will find a big picnic area where you can barbecue or eat in a well priced restaurant terrace with splendid views. It is really worth paying a couple of hundred dinar... More

I took a private taxi to make the 25 minutes drive from the Republic square. It costs about $40 RT but I heard I overpaid. There are buses that you could use. The ticket is less than $2 and a slightly more expansive ticket that includes a drink. It is a quick elevator to the top glass enclosure area offering... More

We got there just in time. They were so nice to let us go up the lift 10 min before closing time. It was SO windy we couldn't stand straight. The views were worth the trip. Try to get there when the restaurant is open.

Great place. You can see the Belgrade from outside. It's little far from the centre but all Serbia is under your foot. The panorama bar was great too. Definitely recommended.

Avala Tower has a beautiful view on top of the mountain. The tower itself is OK, but nothing over the top. There is a small cafe at the top. There is a historical building with a restaurant inside and outside dining. The food is good and not expensive. The interior restrooms needs rennovation and I would not rent a room... More
