The Rivers Danube and Sava meet here in Belgrade. There are interesting walks and many modern restaurants on the riverside to visit. I understand that there are also boat trips.

The Iron Gates of the Danube River originally consisted of four narrow gorges and three wide basins spread over several miles (140 km) of the river dividing Romania and Serbia. This part of the Danube river is very scenic and peaceful

The second best way to see the river is from the Belgrade fortress awesome piccies to be had, from the victor monument. At the convergence of the two rivers (danube and sava). Obviously the first is by boat.

The position of Belgrade at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers is both strategic and attractive. When we were there the water was very high due to mountain snow melt in the Alps (I think) and recent rains.
