The day we went to the museum, we were the only visitors. It has an outstanding collection of textiles, costumes and historic furniture, enhanced with great historical photographs. There is a small gift shop. Particularly fine for those interested in textiles, hand sewn clothing and handmade crafts. Worth the time and very reasonable ($2 U.S.) admission. Walking distance to several... More

This museum was out of the ordinary, it was filled with beautifully restored artifacts and wonderful recreations of the day in the life of Serbians . Walking through time. There were examples of homes and hearths from the Middle Ages . The exhibits were so carefully done and documented. I was definitely intrigued and caught up in the costumes, the... More

At the time of my visit the museum was showing an incredibly beautiful display of seasonal folk dress for males and females from all parts of the Balkans. Made by hand and in rich colours, they are outstanding testimony to the skills and creativity of the makers. Supplemented by historic photographs to contextualise the clothes it made a great impression:... More

Visited here the end of October with my husband. Easy to get to from the city centre- get off at the large sign. Only a few euros to get in and a great emersion experience. Not all the buildings were open when we went but nevertheless e had a great time exploring. Highly recommend.

A wealth of colourful and real displays of two centuries of costumes, artifacts, housing and living conditions. We found it fascinating.

It was a very good museum. It had three floors full of interesting display. There were lots of displays of different types of costums. There were also several models of dwellings.
