You could spend ages wandering around. Sadly only found this area accidentally on my last day but loved it and would highly recommend

Dorcol, is by far the most charming neighborhood of Belgrade! After each day's sightseeing, Dorcol is the place to wander! Without having a specific monument, this neighborhood makes you feel warm, and cozy, its old, dark buildings and streets, welcome you and reveal you something from its past. All the cafes, bars, restaurants etc that we liked the most, were... More

Dorcol is a wonderful clutch of inclines, graffiti-stained lanes, bakeries, playgrounds, coffeeshops, bars and restaurants. Even on a Sunday night you will find people sitting out till late at sheesha bars and knocking back some strong rakias (Serbian brandy). It's a charming and beautifully located neighbourhood, which is an easy walk or cheap cab ride from the historic sites. There... More

We had a few hours of free time and enjoyed walking the tree-lined streets. Beautiful outdoor cafes with beautiful people visiting with one another.

Upper Dorcol is now one of the most gentrified places in Belgrade. Not anymore hipsterm, definintely high class. Hipsters are now moving to lower Dorcol. if you want a place with atmosphere, go there before everything there gets spoiled...

I lived in Dorcol for a month and really enjoyed the area. It is quiet and full of nice family-run places.

Dorćol holds a special place in the hearts of Belgradians. As one of the oldest city quarters, it has always been a part of the city that stands out from other areas. Its history tells the story of a cosmopolitan Belgrade where several different nations lived together in peace and understanding. Anybody who lived or still lives in Belgrade has... More

An old neighborhood. Kind of grimy and dirty. Some local Belgrade friends call it the "hole." It's down the hill from the Center and toward the river. To be sure, it's a bit old and run down and pre WWII used to be the ghetto for immigrants. Lots of restaurants and clubs line the streets. Not my cup of tea... More
