I went to the Pirogovo Cultural park and it is a wonderful place. Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather as you will be in for a long hike. The government has collected very old churches, windmills, cottages, grist mills and various other buildings from all over the country and brought them to this place. Many of the buildings... More

I went with a friend this morning to the Pirohovo Open-Air Museum and we both loved the experience. Being a history, art, and architecture enthusiast, I loved that I could see a well-preserved collection of traditional Ukrainian buildings in multiple styles. We made the decision to hire a guide as we entered the grounds. I highly recommend that you do... More

Very interesting tour. I went on a cold day, but the tour was still great. My tour was arranged by JC Tours and Olga was my guide. Olga was excellent. She was the guide for the rest of the city tour and she knew the details about all of the attractions including the outdoor Museum. It is worth eating at... More

The weather was cold, there was no sun but i saw all colors of nature in this village. You can experience and see, how old ukranian people lives and where to stay. I suggest pick a sunny day and enjoy all the field.

Inexpensive entry after a short drive from Kiev. There's a lot of walking, but the atmosphere and history lessons are worth every step.

First of all: the museum is kind of off the beaten track. You could go there with a combination of trolley buses and marshrutka's, but even then it's a 2km walk from the bus stop. We took a taxi from Maidan for 150 hryvnia. The taxi back was a bit more expensive, but we got it down to 250 hryvnia.... More

This is an open-air museum of the Ukrainian villages from different districts. Very nicely set with the natural landscape as the background. Take the electric car to see more, as the museum covers a large area, too much to walk.

If you want to experience a day outside the city. It is a really wonderful time to see the countryside. You can also get to ride a horse.
