Chocolate House was built in 1880 in the style of the Venetian Renaissance. Today it is “Children’s Art Gallery” that is a branch of Kiev National Museum of Russian Art. It is not worth to go inside the building. I wouldn't make a special trip just for this. But if you're in the area it's worth seeing and take a... More

So, I didn't know how awesome a place this was until we went in. It was one stop on a longer tour for us, and we almost didn't take the time to go inside. While the inside is in somewhat rough shape, the decoration and architecture is still very impressive. Every room has a different theme. There's only a few... More

It is definitely worth seeing. Must say that interiors are in very bad conditions. Actually this house is kind allegory for Ukraine - nice outside, some things inside are good, some nearly perfect, but some are very bad but can become better. In general I strongly recommend to walk around this area - there are a lot of nice houses.... More

The weird name of the house could be explained by its brown color and its shape that looks like a bar of chocolate. It's a beautiful building, located in a very good neighbourhood.

Nothing special to look at. It is nice, but old and warned out. It is not worth to go there. Just if you drop by, than maybe...

It's a great-great building, my parents had their wedding in it. But I am disappointed by many years of destruction of the building without proper support and care. Today (2012) it is sad to see it. Hope very much that local authorities will find sources and wisdom to take it back to birth.
