Huge and impressive monument, but Kiev has way more to offer. To be visited only if you have time left.

A symbol of the friendship between Russia and Ukraine - this Soviet relic is still impressive with its steel "rainbow" construction arching over patriotic statues. Looked even better at dusk as the sun set in the distance and the "rainbow" was lightly illuminated. Great views...More

The strange symbol of friendship between nations which are currently at the state of war de facto dates back to the Soviet Union. Though the Podil city and Dnieper river view is nice.

The arch has been decorated as part of the city preparations to host this year's Eurovision contest. The slogan for the contest is 'celebrating diversity,' though I don't think anyone has ever accused Ukraine of being diverse.
