Fantastic place! To be honest we didn't expect that much, but was pleasantly surprised. The museum is quite big, and included in the ticket price is a guided tour through the place. We had a guide in English and she spoke really well and was very interesting and knowledgeable. Can only recommend the place - also great if you have kids.

To be honest when we visited this place with our friends, we were not aware that it is mostly for children. Most of the activities are for families but we still enjoyd the time there.

It was interesting to see water fundamental needs of Kyiv and learn more about Dnipro river.

Most important thing, in the museum there was a free English Speaker Guide. She lovely translated us everything. We loved there

Walking around the rambling Khreshchatyk Park we came across this superb looking building, a quick bit of googling revealed in to be the Water Museum of Kiev, although I never visited the museum I was struck by the beautiful and unusual looking building that made a nice change from the more Stalinist style architecture that's so prevalent throughout Kiev, made for some great photographic opportunities and is easy to locate along Mykhaila Hrushevskoho in Khreshchatyk Park.
Well worth checking out if your in the area.

Nice, informative museum. The guides provide tours in English as well. They will take you down to two meters where you can see the roots of the plants and trees. There are various interesting activities and exhibits to learn about the water supply system of Kiev.

We came across this museum randomly but it was so much fun! We payed 60 hryvnias for an entrance (~2 eur). For that price we’ve got a great tour by an English speaking guide (sadly I don’t remember her name but she was FANTASTIC!!!) and we had lots of fun with physics based experiments and massive soap bubbles. Great place for kids as well.

This museum is about mineral water(how it is layered under earth, types etc) and tap water(how water system of city works). There are activities for kids like like placing self in giant soap bubble.
Fun for entire family.

If you have an hour to spare and you are somewhere near Khreschatik street or European Square, walk up the hill in the Khreschatik park, and pay a visit to the water tower.
There was a 15-minute wait for the next guided tour as the families gathered. Did you ever know how Kyiv gets its water? From the Dnipro, of course. How it is cleaned and filtered before coming through the pipes? How the waste-water is disposed of at the sewage station?
Well, if your Ukrainian is up to it, you can join a tour through this little museum. It's great for families; the kids seemed to like some of the exhibits.
I don't know if they run tours in other languages, I just joined the first tour. I'm not sure you can enter without a guide. There isn't really enough space for non-conducted tours.
It was educational and fun at the same time
