Again a nice place just to walk around and experience this city. Their statues are very large and overwhelming and kind of depict a very dark time for this country

Special note is the direction of the mace he is holding it was turned around from pointing to Moscow when the soviets ruled the land

Beautiful place to people watch, but absolutely avoid any interaction with the people in costume or offering their birds or other animals for photographs. You'll find they can be very friendly and even offer you advice on what to see and do, but then demand...More

Nice statue on the square, suits the historic site. Well maintain with the church on side side and St. Michael cathedral on the otherside

The statute raises awareness of a significant 17th Century figure that partially ‘resulted in the creation of a state led by the Cossacks of Ukraine.’ The statue is best seen at night, with lighting, as in the day it looks a bit tilted.

This is a great statue which sits in an amazing square. While we were there, there was a celebration of Easter with kiosks serving food and drink. Also amazing large painted eggs and rabbits by private citizens

This is a statue in memory of a leader of cossacks. He was born in the 16th century. The statue is from 1888.

Passed here visiting the cathedral. Worth seeing, but very dramatic when it's lit up at night. Didn't know any particular history but worth seeing.
