This is one of the top tourist attractions in El Salvador.
Located in the biological corridor call Apaneca-Ilamatepec, Santa Ana volcano is considered one of the jewels of Central America.
If you are looking for the best things to do , We have designed this tour for you.
The walk takes approximately 2 hours to climb and another 2 hours to descend, this can vary according to the physical condition of the people. On top of the volcano you can see one of the best craters worldwide with an emerald green lagoon,

At the end of the adventure we drive to Coatepeque lake for a relaxing time and have lunch.
The tour is fantastic for nature lovers or adventurers.

There is some very important work being done here to store and grow tens of thousands of seeds and plants. As a visitor attraction, however, it is a very pleasant place to wander around but not in any way exciting. It's possible that it makes a difference what time of year you visit but when I was there in March there was nothing "in flower". It has a lot of shade to protect from hot sun and it has what looked like a relatively modern children's play area. The only other place of interest in this area is a craft brewery along the road so, as a dedicated destination, it would be a long way down my list of recommendations of places to visit in San Salvador

A wonderful oasis of calm in a hot, busy car filled city. Well maintained particularly considering that it is in a developing country. Plenty of facilities and interesting wildlife such as large iguanas, terrapins and plenty of birds. Small but perfectly formed!

The place is very nice and entertaining. Some amenities for young children and places to eat. Last visit was a bit more maintained. Nice park to visit while in San Salvador.
