Great place to visit. Amazing views, short but steep walk up and down. Cool relief from the city. We went with EC tours , highly recommended.

It was nice to visit Parque Nacional Boqueron but the trails around the top of the crater of Volcan San Salvador were very short and the views were not like the pictures you see on tourist information. All in all, worth a visit but don't...More

Short walk up but the view was worth it! The drive up was lengthy but great restaurants in the area and a need to see is Linda Vista also in the same area.

Great place to visit because it is so unique. Very cool at the top. Can get a good walk in with the well maintained trails. Make you park IN the park - lots of people try to get you to park lower on the hill...More

Lets put it like this. If you are already in SS go to see it as its very close to the city, but it doesn’t have sense to go especially to ES to see it. You can see only the crater, nothing else.

Beautiful but parking a big problem and access road super narrow. Paths are clearly marked and is very picturesque. Love being able to buy fruits and vegetables from vendors there. Sneakers a must.

This is a beautiful park and easy to walk around in general. If you are thinking of hiking to the volcano then I recommend athletic gear and that you are in good shape. You can also buy local coffee, cocoa, candy and souvenirs.

Located just 30 mins from San Salvador El Boqueron is an easy visit. The road up (the last 2 kilometres) could do with repair, so if you're driving take care. Just before the park are various vendors and people offering parking. I don't know how...More

This was part of a wirlwind tour. I hired a taxi driver who took me around to see various places including La Libertad on the coast. So as a result we drive up to the entrance. You then hike up some steps to the rim...More

Sorry for the late response. I was a foreigner traveling with a national, and we each paid $1.

I am not really sure you can get there by public transportation. A taxi might charge you at least USD 20.00 each way
