El Salvador has been known for its excellence in the production of coffee beans, later known in the newspapers for its horrific civil war, now also positions itself in the art world!
The museum has a lot of artwork but unfortunately, all the descriptions are available only in Spanish. The souvenir shop is very small and we did not find any interpretations of the paintings such as postcards or magnets.

How one likes art is personal, and this place didn't do much for me. There is no English which makes it hard for non-Spanish speakers to follow. $1.50 entrance fee. An hour or less will do it. Some of the pieces are not displayed or lit well.

Nice, small art museum with rotating exhibits (mostly modern it seems) and a small permanent collection downstairs. The modern collection has some odd items. The museum was free when we went but I wouldn’t mind paying a small fee so they could repair the outside tile mural and maintain the grounds and perhaps expand. You need no more than an hour to visit.

Stonebriar mall is an excellent place to shop. There is a variety of stores for everyone's taste. My family came to visit and enjoyed shopping everytime that I would take them.

The museum has a restaurant that you may want to try. Different ambiance than the typical restaurant in the area. Quiet and well appointed, great service, good for dinning or for a sit down coffee.

This is right next to the Sheraton and offers great expositions on Salvadoreño artists. Definitely check out. You can cover in 30-60 min.

Small but rich in culture. We enjoyed the galleries and exhibitions. The entrance fee was less than $3.00 which covered the entire museum. There is a restaurant in the premises as well, can't comment on that as we didn't actually go in. There's also a small gift shop with souvenirs, some cheaper than others. The exhibitions were full of culture and history, with local artists work. The civil war years exhibition was filled with nostalgia and a sense of sadness, part of our history. A small suggestion : it would be nice to see a description in other languages for those whose Spanish is not their mother tongue, just so that they could learn too 😉... Other that, a wonderful place, loved it...

Nice museum and even better restaurant. You can combine a visit to the museum with lunch at the restaurant that is favoured by locals.

It is interesting to refresh the living standards of the Mayan ancient culture, their hand crafts, plus a theater inside for special presentations and a cafeteria. It is exactly across the street from the international Convention Center.

It's right next to the Sheraton hotel. Not expensive. About an hour will do the whole thing. There are some nice pieces but overall not particularly impressive.
